Weekend ALONE Recap

SO the hubs headed to Iowa for the weekend to surprise his younger brother for his big fight this weekend

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBzwTT6albI
(hopefully this link works ---I HONESTLY need to attend a class to learn how to be a fancy blogger for your entertainment, however, this gets what I need done aka venting and posting my life events to look back upon someday so sorry for being non-fancy ha ha)

ANYWAYS---He was very surprised and I am so glad that the hubs got to go home and see all of the family and enjoy some "real" time again. "Real" time you might ask, What the heck???
But our "real" life is in Iowa ...Our hearts are there, our love is there, ALL our family is there, and we want to be there more then anything!!! 16 more months until we officially will be out of the army and headed home (maybe not completely unattached from the service world aka reserves BUT being with our friends and family is where we need to be and to be completely honest I am proud of my soldier from not wanting to give up his service completely but even more proud of him that he is willing (his wants are involved too) to go back to Iowa where he will make his wife a hundred percent more fulfilled

SO without me even saying you can assume how sad and jealous I was that he was getting to go back to Iowa for the weekend (he really wanted to take me and I will get my chance in June which can NOT come fast enough)
I KEPT BUSY
1.) Got my hair cut and colored--it has been 6 months and my hair was way over due to say the least PLUS I am obsessed with coloring my hair I have had every color and waiting this long aka being poor has been killing me
Before: dont judge I said it was bad!!!!

3 inches be gone and not a faded red nasty color later=

It is a ton shorter (to me it feels that way I know in reality it isn't a huge difference)
I love it and its the first person in Tx to do my hair so over all I was happy with it and it looks a lot healthier

2. Babysat for two dogs for my girlfriend who was out of town for a wedding ---Yappy Little Things hahaha

3. Pedicure---Much needed and the massage was best part as always!! Refreshed and Relaxing

4. Church : about fear ...man do I wish the hubs had attended that service with me.  Our Pastor directed a lot of the service towards men and their thinking of providing for families as top priority! Which effects decisions for the future  (missing out bc of fear)  instead of relying on our Father who will always provide and who knows our problems before we even realize/pray about them.  A great lesson! The next 7 weeks are all about life directed lessons (aren't they always)

5. REGISTERED FOR BABY!!!!!
and man oh man do I feel a whole lot better and a bit more relaxed
EVEN though it was not a fun experience to do alone
I didnt want the hubs to go, I had reasoning, but I did ask to make sure he didn't "want" to but was really not wanting him to go as i knew it would just add stress to me
1. he is a bit impatient and I knew it would take a long while with lots of decisions and lets just say i'm pretty darn indecisive!
2. wedding registry he HAD to have the "gun"---as funny and comical as the event was it was not going to be as funny when it came to the needs of our baby hahaha

I wished that my Mom was here to help more then ever!!!!! I know everything can be changed, deleted, added BUT it was the fact that it suppose to be a really special event : One that my mom wouldn't have missed if we where even remotely close in distance : One I never dreamed I would have done without her
However I know that I am a big girl and I really need to just get use to it because being in Tx has brought and will bring a ton more events like this that I dreamed she would be a part of and cant (like maybe possibly the delivery I hope she makes it but its unpredictable who knows if it will happen that way)
Saying lots of prayers and I know that I will have God and the Father of my child right by my side and I shouldn't ask for anything more as I am already more then blessed

XOXOXOX
pick the hubster up at the air port in the morning cant wait to squeeze and love on him
funny how just a few days makes you go insane without one another

Easter Weekend Recap

So the hubs 4 day weekend turned into a three day weekend BOO!!!
He got called into work for 24 hour duty today however the weekend was a good weekend while it lasted
But at least he is working with a guy he actually likes his company and not someone else, always a benefit to helping the time go by faster.  We met for his lunch break and I am going to take him in some dinner tonight too so I am glad I get to see him!

We did a lot of grilling which was planned and all turned out amazing cant wait to do more this week before he leaves me for the weekend!!!

Some Pictures to make you Drool:

It was such a good Friday night after Good Friday Service and really made us miss Iowa and the bonfires (the grill was hardly a bonfire hahah), camping trips, lakes, marshmallows, hot dogs, all the above with friends and family but the night was as perfect as it could get! The hubby Had a few Templeton Ryes!!
Was a Great Night Together and I Truly am Blessed To Have Him in My Life!

TOMS TOMS TOMS TOMS TOMS

Got these puppies in the mail finally and I am so so so happy ---Only wished I had one in every color :)
P.s. It was cheaper to Order for all you Tom lovers I found a $5 off coupon online which eliminated shipping costs ---and for all you people who don't know about Toms you should PROBABLY invest you don't know what your missing out on!! The little Toms are darling I might add!

The countdown is on.... OK its been on ---
5 more weeks
Got my girlfriend Jess a baby gift (she is having a little girl within the next couple weeks) and cant help but state that girls are MUCH more fun to shop for SO SO SO much cute stuff on the clearance racks compared to the boys racks!!

Easter wasnt quite a typical Easter for us --but a holiday away from all the family is never "typical" but we make due!!
Church was so packed that we where in an overflow room upstairs watching the service on a big screen!  The service was great and I walked away feeling even more blessed then I did before!! There where some amazing stories told both Friday/Sunday and I couldn't help but analyze my life with an overwhelming feeling of grace and love! Our God Is So Good! Without Him We Are Nothing!!
We finished off our Easter with some lots of cleaning and lounging (watching a movie, reading, and hubs doing homework)

Happy Monday To All!

1 YEAR down many more to come

Rocky and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday and I must say it is crazy to think it was a year ago that we made the commitment to one another for life!!!
I would go back and do it again and again and again and again
One of the best decisions and life changing events of my life

waking up to a text:
"Happy Anniversary! cant believe we have been married one whole year!! First of many to come...looking forward to growing old with you"
Well that can only start to explain to you how lucky of a girl I am!!!
My husband truly does have the sweetest side and knows how to make me feel so special

He got a grill  :) kinda a combo of anniversary and birthday present (april 29th) as well as a bottle of Templeton Rye that my mom snuck down to me (made in Iowa and they don't ship to Texas)
And I got a pair of red toms :)!!!! LOVEEEE and some Panda Express (that may have been more for baby then me but my taste buds sure did enjoy it!!!)

This will be our one and only anniversary without a third member of our family :)
less then 6 weeks till we get to find out the gender of our baby
and I have been watching Gender Revealing Youtube videos and crying !!! hahahah Im so excited to find out

P.s. I dont think I have said this yet BUT all the silly Gender tests that we have done so far = GIRL!!!!!!!!
and I have caught Hubs referring to baby as she/girl more often then not lately ....SCORE

Week 14 Picture:

Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend best one the two of us have had together in awhile and I enjoyed every minute of it!!
1. We went to the fort bliss widesales and got some GREAT deals at the garage sales!  AS WELL as bought our first baby items.

  • Dresser-for our closet
  • Rocky got a pair of shorts
  • Rocky got two movies and we got a movie for baby
  • Sac of newborn diapers
  • Sac of neutral color onsies, hat, and couple pair of pants
  • dishwasher basket for bottles
ALL FOR $16 dollars!!!!! :)

2.  We got offered Military housing last week and after weighing all the pros and cons about getting out of our town home lease and the unexpected and unknowns of the new house we decided that we where going to just stay put WHICH I GUESS made us realize weather we like that or not this is "home" for the next 17 months and we started to do some stuff around it that we had talked about doing for awhile as well as starting to make room for baby :)

3. We get to Paint!!!! :) after making this decision we went in and asked the office what there policy was about painting and as long as we paint it back to a pretty neutral beige color before we move out its no problem.  I AM SO EXCITED!!!! (i'm not so sure the hubs is and i'm trying to not get to carried away however the fact that I will at least get to paint my nursery is beyond exciting to me)

4. Belly is growing!!!! :) which makes me excited to know baby is growing too!

5. We stopped at a few Goodwills and we got 9 baby books for $12 another steal!! :)

6. We have started to plan my baby showers!! My Sister is going to do our size, Rocky's Aunt is going to do one for their side, and my amazing two friends are going to do a mail shower for all my girlfriends.  I am so thankful and excited for all of this!!! ONLY getting to be home for a week it will be nice to not fill three of those days with showers as excited as I am to celebrate them all!! ALSO excited that I will only be 24 weeks and not 34 and HUGE EVERYWHERE  ha ha :) that isnt the plan by 34 weeks but you just never know with the toddler size baby we are probably going to have (we where both in the 8lb + when we where born)

Do you guys have any cute themes ideas for baby showers that you have attended and LOVED? or that you did for your babies?
