Week 29

Pregnancy Highlights: 

Baby Size: 15.25 inches butternut squash 2.5lbs

Maternity Clothes: yes and no

Stretch Marks: Nope and Hope to Avoid

Gender Predictions:  IT’S A BOY

Movement: everyday ---sometimes my belly seriously looks like a waterbed NO JOKE

Sleep: doing just fine

What I miss: Hugging and loving on my hubs without a big belly being squashed between us

Food Cravings: sweets –donuts have become my favorites this last week I found an awesome bakery

Food Aversions: none

Symptoms: none

Weight Gain: 15 lbs total

Emotions:  I have my days but overall I really think that I have my hormones in check!

Belly Button: still holding onto the inny BARELY

Best Moment this week:  house is almost ALL put together

Got to hear baby boys heartbeat

PASSED my Glucose test!!! Bloodwork is still good as well  

What I’m looking forward to:  mom and brothers get here this coming Friday

By end of this month (next few weeks) we should have everything we need for baby boy with the help of my mom getting everything set up and ready to go

What I’m NOT looking forward to:  Pushing a baby out of my vag!!!

Milestone:  passing glucose test ---almost to single digit weeks

Labor signs: 11 weeks to go

Week 28

Pregnancy Highlights: 

Baby Size: 14.8 inches Chinese cabbage 2.25 lbs

Maternity Clothes: yes and lots of comfy pj pants

Stretch Marks: Nope and Hope to continue to avoid

Gender: BOY

Movement: daily and lots of it ----getting to be a strong little boy in there: and Daddy is feeling it more which Mommy LOVES that he gets to experience it

Sleep: still sleeping well –wake up occasionally sore back or side depending on if I was in a position for too long but nothing serious

Food Cravings: sweets

Food Aversions: none

Symptoms: I am still feeling great most days but starting to get a bit uncomfortable

Especially after eating

Weight Gain: 15 lbs total (according to home scale will know more Friday)

Belly Button: HARDLY an INNY

Best Moment this week:  We went to Carlsbad Caverns (I was very sore the next day hips/shins/legs/feet)

Ordered a kitchen table so we can then have family dinners

Took Glucose Test and I didn’t get sick! Should know results Friday

Date Night movie and tried this amazing new Asian restaurant

What I’m looking forward to: Dr Appointment on Friday! (Hope to see the little Mr)

10 days till Mom, Trevor, & Trey come down to El Paso

28 days until we get to go back to Iowa TOGETHER

84 more days until due date

Milestone:

I am almost to single digit countdown

Started back in to reading breastfeeding books again

Week 27

Pregnancy Highlights: 

Baby Size: 14.5 inches cauliflower more 2lbs

Maternity Clothes: yes some—more than before for comfort but I can still fit some of normal

Stretch Marks: Nope and Hope to continue to avoid

Gender: BOY

Movement: daily

Sleep: fine still thankfully

Food Cravings: sweets

Food Aversions: none

Symptoms: I am still feeling great most days but starting to get a bit uncomfortable

Especially after eating

Weight Gain: 13 lbs total still

Belly Button: HARDLY and INNY

Best Moment this week:  We went to our first baby class “childbirth preparation” and we got to tour the hospital that we will deliver at

What I’m looking forward to: 15 days till Mom, Trevor, Trey come down to El Paso

32 days until we get to go back to Iowa TOGETHER

What I’m NOT looking forward to:

LABOR I need to get prepared after going to our first class I have now decided I need to get back on my band wagon of reading!!!!!! And learning!!!!!! I want to be confident when the time comes and we (as rocky calls it) are in the “danger zone” now hahaha

Milestone: everything is almost completely set up in nursery!!! … crib, bedding, dresser, changing pad, curtains, duvet cover/bed skirt(just need sheets), clothes cleaned/hung, and only have a few more MUST NEED items before this little boy gets here (after mom comes we will go shopping and finish it all up and by end of July we will be SET!!! And READY!!!)

Happy 4th of July

We spent the day just Rocky, Me, and a very active belly :) 

We started off the day with Krispy Kreams donuts (until the ants attacked them), 

went to a parade, then grilled out at the NEW wonderful house (which I need to post pictures and do a blog on that), after grilling and eating a huge meal (brussel sprouts, corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs wrapped in bacon YUMMINESS) we went into a food coma, to top off the perfect day we went to Biggs where there was a live band lots of people watching and some pretty decent fireworks!!!
