Weekend Recap -Ruidoso New Mexico

We had another marriage retreat this weekend in Ruidoso New Mexico.
We had so much fun last time that we where both pretty excited to go to this one.
We arrived Friday late afternoon and checked in.  This time we where staying in awesome condos (full kitchen, living room, very roomy)
We headed to a local grocery store to get some snacks and drinks for the weekend.
Then we had a night session and dinner (the food was better this time too catered by a restaurant that we wanted to try last time we where there but couldn't find
There was a lot more couples that rocky knew or knew of this time which was nice
That night his coworker Lewis, his wife, and daughter hung out in our condo for a little while

The next day we had two morning sessions and breakfast
We then drove up to Lake Bonita (10 minutes away)
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL and we LOVE LOVE LOVED IT
we have started to plan a trip up there to go camping this summer

We headed back to eat lunch and then Lewis family and us where going to this other "lake" that rented poles and whatever fish you caught they would clean and you could take, HOWEVER, it wants really a lake it was a pond in this guys backyard and there was trash everywhere and NOT appealing SSSSOOOO we opted out of doing that.  The Lewis family went to a movie and Rocky and I headed to Wal Mart to buy fishing poles and license to go fishing back up at Lake Bonita.  We had ZERO luck and didn't catch anything but it was so peaceful out there int he wilderness with green all around us and a big body of water.  I do not know the last time I got to fish and Rocky LOVES to fish so it was a really great time!!! So relaxing and a great reminder of how great and amazing God is.  His creations are so beyond astonishing

That night we ate dinner, walked through town, and got some ice cream (that we didn't need after already having cheesecake for dessert with dinner hahah but we couldn't resist ----we tried to get foot massages BUT the store closed)   Lots and lots of statues in town baby and I liked this one (18 weeks 5 days)

One of the houses in town had pet deer :)

Then we headed back to the condos and built a fire outside, three other couples that Rocky knew of but didnt really know came over and and where playing beer pong by us and so it was nice to meet some other young couples.  Rocky was kind of in a indifferent mood so it was hard to tell if he was really enjoying it or not BUT we are really not going to meet anyone if we do not try.  We have best friends not what we are looking for I just think it would really be nice to have some good couples with similar interests to hang out with and interact with.

The next day we had another morning session and breakfast then headed back out for some more fishing.  Again NO LUCK hahahah we fished for a total of around 5-6 hours total this weekend EVERYONE around us caught fish but NOT US hahahah
Still like I said it was worth being out in the wilderness, with my boo, doing something he loves and I especially enjoy.
Overall great weekend was sad to come back to el paso (SAND) and cant wait to go back and camp!!!
Very exhausted after long weekend and my body is telling me to rest today!
Physical on Wednesday with Dr. Lutter (prolly gained 20 pounds with all that great food this weekend)

Less then 4 weeks until I get to go home!!!!!!!!!!! :) I CANT WAIT ... and so pumped for baby showers x2

My girlfriend Sammi gets here in about a week and a half and im beyond excited about that as well

Hubs 25th Birthday

Happy 25th Birthday that he FINALLY got to celebrate after many years of "sober" not so much celebrating since he was probably about 21 hahah

Getting ready to head over to the pool for the afternoon
Me in my two piece REALLY need to invest in a tank bikini to cover up this baby bump :)

Then out to the bars (cockpit his favorite of course)!
Then we ate at toro burger.
Got some Tropical snow snowcones and
watched amazing race.

They where NOT sober when all was said and done and hubs was very slow, sleepy, and ready for it to be night and time for bed when he woke up that monday morning to go home.
Mama Joy headed back to Iowa
Was so nice to have her here last weekend and especially to celebrate with Rocky!

Week 18 Picture:

SURPRISE GENDER REVEAL

Friday the 27th we where suppose to just have a regular appointment (pee in a cup, blood work, hear the heartbeat, talk, etc) at 9:50 am 17 weeks 3 days
HOWEVER
Dr. Lutter's doppler was broken so she had to use the ultrasound machine
We where suppose to still have 2.5 weeks until we knew
Rocky kept saying "maybe she will just hook u up to the ultrasound since the machine is right there" and I kept telling him "it was only right there bc they knew last time they where doing an ultrasound, They will just use doppler and listen to their heartbeat" he said this numerous times with different reasons why she would maybe just do an ultrasound (all not being reasons a dr would actually use the machine)
I am shocked to say the least!!! its broken!!! really!!!! We are going to know the sex TODAY!!!! really?????
I was excited dont get me wrong but I was very NOT prepared to say the least
I didnt get a "last day" without knowing ; I got a "last minute"
Rocky was jumping up and down practically he was so excited (plus he was right hahaha)
and his Mom was there with us too (I was happy she was going to get to see little Baby Foster, But I really was really not prepared for her to be there with us when we found out the gender, I also wasn't prepared to know the sex TODAY, nor did I know how I was going to tell the rest of the family what we where having)

So Dr. Lutter comes in --im kinda sweaty and I have butterflys of excitement... I WAS GOING TO KNOW WHAT WAS GROWING INSIDE OF ME we where going to know what our first child is

BOY
GIRL
BOY
GIRL
BOY
GIRL
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Pretty much THE SECOND she put the machine onto my belly
Rocky "Is that a penis?"
She doesnt say anything she just smiles and starts fiddling with the machine and then
starts typing "ITS A ....."
waits puts and aarow on the screen
"BOY"

WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!!!!!!!!! :)
My eyes filled with tears (and I think Grandma Joy's did too)
Daddy had the biggest grin on his face
It was such a proud and surreal moment in life, It was perfect, Baby BOY is healthy!!!
God has blessed us so much this year

WE ARE HAVING A BABY BOY

It is Tuesday now and I still dont think it has Completely sunk in yet!!!
There is a penis in my tummy "whoever doesnt believe that woman can do anything is CRAZY we can grow a penis for goodness sakes" hahahah

As we are leaving the Dr office Daddy and another car backed into each other!! minimal damage to both cars, more of just scratches ---but thats one way to start the celebration --GOODNESS!!!!!!!

We then went to get pedicures and daddy went to work for a little bit

Since Dad got to tell all of his family a day before we told my side of the family  that we where pregnant with peanut
I wanted to tell all of my side the gender first
I knew everyone was going to be SO SURPRISED considering noone knew it was coming today
I first called Grandpa Martin right when we left the dr appointment he was at work (he guessed girl)
Then I ordered blue flowers and a balloon for him to pick up and take home to surprise Grandma Robin and Uncle Trey when he got off work
Then I text Trevor, He was on his way to a track meet (he guessed girl)
It was a llllooooonnnnngggggg wait and then it was finally 5 o'clock and Grandpa was headed home
(I had text Aunt Bailey to call when she got out of work but she didnt call till she got home so she was the last to find out)

I called Grandma Robin and was talking non nonchalantly
when Grandpa walked in with the flowers and balloons "its a boy"
Grandma "did you have a baby today dear?"
Grandpa (i am sure with a shitty grin) "who are you talking to?"
Grandma "Lindsey" PAUSE "Your having a boy?!?!" "You found out today? How do you know?"
LOTS OF LAUGHS :)!!!!

Then we called Bailey on skype and where talking to the boys
I had put on a blue shirt and asked Tucker who has just conquered his colors
"Tucker what color is Aunt Lu Lu's shirt??"
"Blue"
"Bailey, we found out the sex today?"
screams, claps, excitements
she told the boys "Aunt lu lu is going to have a boy baby! you are going to have a boy cousin to show how to play with trucks and racecars! isnt that exciting?" Tucker "I wanted a girl baby"
hahahahah
I guess later on he asked Bailey if she had a boy baby in her belly too :)

Then we called Grandpa Willie, Nana, Levi, The Grove Families x2
Shawn was in Minnesota on a fishing trip with no service so he didnt get to find out until Sunday when he had service again
Everyone was excited, surprised, and stated that "Jada will continue to be the only girl and princess of the family" :)

We then started to tell friends
and then made it facebook official
I sent this photo to a lot of my close friends

That night we grilled out
Grandma and Daddy celebrated with some drinks :)

Weekend ALONE Recap

SO the hubs headed to Iowa for the weekend to surprise his younger brother for his big fight this weekend

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBzwTT6albI
(hopefully this link works ---I HONESTLY need to attend a class to learn how to be a fancy blogger for your entertainment, however, this gets what I need done aka venting and posting my life events to look back upon someday so sorry for being non-fancy ha ha)

ANYWAYS---He was very surprised and I am so glad that the hubs got to go home and see all of the family and enjoy some "real" time again. "Real" time you might ask, What the heck???
But our "real" life is in Iowa ...Our hearts are there, our love is there, ALL our family is there, and we want to be there more then anything!!! 16 more months until we officially will be out of the army and headed home (maybe not completely unattached from the service world aka reserves BUT being with our friends and family is where we need to be and to be completely honest I am proud of my soldier from not wanting to give up his service completely but even more proud of him that he is willing (his wants are involved too) to go back to Iowa where he will make his wife a hundred percent more fulfilled

SO without me even saying you can assume how sad and jealous I was that he was getting to go back to Iowa for the weekend (he really wanted to take me and I will get my chance in June which can NOT come fast enough)
I KEPT BUSY
1.) Got my hair cut and colored--it has been 6 months and my hair was way over due to say the least PLUS I am obsessed with coloring my hair I have had every color and waiting this long aka being poor has been killing me
Before: dont judge I said it was bad!!!!

3 inches be gone and not a faded red nasty color later=

It is a ton shorter (to me it feels that way I know in reality it isn't a huge difference)
I love it and its the first person in Tx to do my hair so over all I was happy with it and it looks a lot healthier

2. Babysat for two dogs for my girlfriend who was out of town for a wedding ---Yappy Little Things hahaha

3. Pedicure---Much needed and the massage was best part as always!! Refreshed and Relaxing

4. Church : about fear ...man do I wish the hubs had attended that service with me.  Our Pastor directed a lot of the service towards men and their thinking of providing for families as top priority! Which effects decisions for the future  (missing out bc of fear)  instead of relying on our Father who will always provide and who knows our problems before we even realize/pray about them.  A great lesson! The next 7 weeks are all about life directed lessons (aren't they always)

5. REGISTERED FOR BABY!!!!!
and man oh man do I feel a whole lot better and a bit more relaxed
EVEN though it was not a fun experience to do alone
I didnt want the hubs to go, I had reasoning, but I did ask to make sure he didn't "want" to but was really not wanting him to go as i knew it would just add stress to me
1. he is a bit impatient and I knew it would take a long while with lots of decisions and lets just say i'm pretty darn indecisive!
2. wedding registry he HAD to have the "gun"---as funny and comical as the event was it was not going to be as funny when it came to the needs of our baby hahaha

I wished that my Mom was here to help more then ever!!!!! I know everything can be changed, deleted, added BUT it was the fact that it suppose to be a really special event : One that my mom wouldn't have missed if we where even remotely close in distance : One I never dreamed I would have done without her
However I know that I am a big girl and I really need to just get use to it because being in Tx has brought and will bring a ton more events like this that I dreamed she would be a part of and cant (like maybe possibly the delivery I hope she makes it but its unpredictable who knows if it will happen that way)
Saying lots of prayers and I know that I will have God and the Father of my child right by my side and I shouldn't ask for anything more as I am already more then blessed

XOXOXOX
pick the hubster up at the air port in the morning cant wait to squeeze and love on him
funny how just a few days makes you go insane without one another
