Easter Weekend Recap

So the hubs 4 day weekend turned into a three day weekend BOO!!!
He got called into work for 24 hour duty today however the weekend was a good weekend while it lasted
But at least he is working with a guy he actually likes his company and not someone else, always a benefit to helping the time go by faster.  We met for his lunch break and I am going to take him in some dinner tonight too so I am glad I get to see him!

We did a lot of grilling which was planned and all turned out amazing cant wait to do more this week before he leaves me for the weekend!!!

It was such a good Friday night after Good Friday Service and really made us miss Iowa and the bonfires (the grill was hardly a bonfire hahah), camping trips, lakes, marshmallows, hot dogs, all the above with friends and family but the night was as perfect as it could get! The hubby Had a few Templeton Ryes!!

Was a Great Night Together and I Truly am Blessed To Have Him in My Life!

Got these puppies in the mail finally and I am so so so happy ---Only wished I had one in every color :) 

P.s. It was cheaper to Order for all you Tom lovers I found a $5 off coupon online which eliminated shipping costs ---and for all you people who don't know about Toms you should PROBABLY invest you don't know what your missing out on!! The little Toms are darling I might add!

5 more weeks 

Got my girlfriend Jess a baby gift (she is having a little girl within the next couple weeks) and cant help but state that girls are MUCH more fun to shop for SO SO SO much cute stuff on the clearance racks compared to the boys racks!! 

Easter wasnt quite a typical Easter for us --but a holiday away from all the family is never "typical" but we make due!!

Church was so packed that we where in an overflow room upstairs watching the service on a big screen!  The service was great and I walked away feeling even more blessed then I did before!! There where some amazing stories told both Friday/Sunday and I couldn't help but analyze my life with an overwhelming feeling of grace and love! Our God Is So Good! Without Him We Are Nothing!!

We finished off our Easter with some lots of cleaning and lounging (watching a movie, reading, and hubs doing homework)

I am looking forward to the long weekend with the Hubs as he had Today off as well as Monday off too!!!
We went grocery shopping today got a whole butt load of yummy-ness!! We are going to be putting the new grill to good work and what else I love about grill cooking IS---The hubs does the cooking :) and its an easier clean up for me USUALLY!!! (he is a very messy cook actually he is a messy everything when it comes to food hahah But I wont complain because the food is usually worth it!!)

Rocky and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday and I must say it is crazy to think it was a year ago that we made the commitment to one another for life!!!
I would go back and do it again and again and again and again
One of the best decisions and life changing events of my life

waking up to a text:
"Happy Anniversary! cant believe we have been married one whole year!! First of many to come...looking forward to growing old with you"
Well that can only start to explain to you how lucky of a girl I am!!!
My husband truly does have the sweetest side and knows how to make me feel so special

He got a grill  :) kinda a combo of anniversary and birthday present (april 29th) as well as a bottle of Templeton Rye that my mom snuck down to me (made in Iowa and they don't ship to Texas)
And I got a pair of red toms :)!!!! LOVEEEE and some Panda Express (that may have been more for baby then me but my taste buds sure did enjoy it!!!)

This will be our one and only anniversary without a third member of our family :)
less then 6 weeks till we get to find out the gender of our baby
and I have been watching Gender Revealing Youtube videos and crying !!! hahahah Im so excited to find out

P.s. I dont think I have said this yet BUT all the silly Gender tests that we have done so far = GIRL!!!!!!!!
and I have caught Hubs referring to baby as she/girl more often then not lately ....SCORE

Week 14

Pregnancy Highlights: 

Baby Size: 3.1 in. Lemon

Maternity Clothes: Nope and Hope to Avoid for as long as possible

Stretch Marks: Nope and Hope to Avoid

Gender Predictions: Girl- We did a lot of silly home gender tests and looked up all the different calendars –ALL INDICATING GIRL

And my dad guessed girl (he always seems to be right)

Movement: No but excited for this to change

Sleep: been having headaches last few nights when I go to bed –NO FUN

What I miss: not getting up to pee in the middle of the night

Food Cravings: ice cream, cheese, pizza, tacos

Food Aversions: Still having lots of things that don’t sound appetizing at all or sound good until I smell or take a bite

Symptoms: Still pretty sleepy but other wise feeling GREAT!!! and enjoying being pregnant

Weight Gain: still in my normal fluctuating weight

Belly Button: INNY

Best Moment this week:  1. WE CAN PAINT BABIES ROOM (got okay from the town house owners)

2. Lady at my Husbands appointment noticed my bump and said something about me being prego!!! –I am getting out of the “fatty zone” hahahah YAYY that was so fun to talk to a complete stranger about it J I am sure it will get annoying after awhile but for now I’m EXCITED

What I’m looking forward to: Getting my hair colored!!! And Our one year anniversary! (last one without baby celebrating with us)

Reading more baby books–I have started finding some great books and I can’t wait to dig into them

Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend best one the two of us have had together in awhile and I enjoyed every minute of it!!
1. We went to the fort bliss widesales and got some GREAT deals at the garage sales!  AS WELL as bought our first baby items.

• Dresser-for our closet
• Rocky got a pair of shorts
• Rocky got two movies and we got a movie for baby
• Sac of newborn diapers
• Sac of neutral color onsies, hat, and couple pair of pants
• dishwasher basket for bottles

ALL FOR $16 dollars!!!!! :)

2.  We got offered Military housing last week and after weighing all the pros and cons about getting out of our town home lease and the unexpected and unknowns of the new house we decided that we where going to just stay put WHICH I GUESS made us realize weather we like that or not this is "home" for the next 17 months and we started to do some stuff around it that we had talked about doing for awhile as well as starting to make room for baby :)

3. We get to Paint!!!! :) after making this decision we went in and asked the office what there policy was about painting and as long as we paint it back to a pretty neutral beige color before we move out its no problem.  I AM SO EXCITED!!!! (i'm not so sure the hubs is and i'm trying to not get to carried away however the fact that I will at least get to paint my nursery is beyond exciting to me)

4. Belly is growing!!!! :) which makes me excited to know baby is growing too!

5. We stopped at a few Goodwills and we got 9 baby books for $12 another steal!! :)

6. We have started to plan my baby showers!! My Sister is going to do our size, Rocky's Aunt is going to do one for their side, and my amazing two friends are going to do a mail shower for all my girlfriends.  I am so thankful and excited for all of this!!! ONLY getting to be home for a week it will be nice to not fill three of those days with showers as excited as I am to celebrate them all!! ALSO excited that I will only be 24 weeks and not 34 and HUGE EVERYWHERE  ha ha :) that isnt the plan by 34 weeks but you just never know with the toddler size baby we are probably going to have (we where both in the 8lb + when we where born)

I took a thousand more pictures and had a hard time narrowing it down to these millions that I posted hahahah You can tell we had A TON of fun and I wish it never would have ended!!! We went to Jungle Jaxs, The Zoo, PetSmart to get all sorts of fish for our big tank (everyone got to pick out one and we ended up coming home with 18 hahah), Went on walks and ended at the park almost every time, laid out and caught some rays at while boys played and ran around at the park, I stole every moment of cuddle time that I could get, We ate out at Fudruckers and made lots of good home cooked meals, Went bowling, and got DQ more then once!!!, watched some movies (boys fav is Beethoven right now), Went shopping at the outlet Mall, and played in the water falls on ft bliss!!!

Week 12

Pregnancy Highlights: 

Baby Size: 2.1in Plum

Maternity Clothes: Nope and Hope to Avoid for as long as possible

Stretch Marks: Nope and Hope to Avoid

Gender Predictions: Having lots of Boy dreams as well as twins…maybe Twins??

Movement: Nope –But I know this is crazy: I feel my heartbeat in my stomach all the time!!! I know it’s mine because its slow not super fast like babies would be!

Sleep: Still having pretty restless nights –but more due to the fact that I have so much on my mind rather than uncomfortable like it used to be.

What I miss: Nothing yet—except maybe more energy!!

Food Cravings: Panda Express, Ice cream, pickles, and cheese

Food Aversions: Everything!!! Is slightly turning into just some things!!

Symptoms:  Pee 24/7, dizzy/light headed, some fatigue, food aversions, SMELLS SUCK!

Weight Gain: still in my normal fluctuating weight

Emotions: Still pretty sassy –but mainly directed only to the dear ol hubs

Belly Button: Big inny

What I’m looking forward to: Sharing the news with the family and seeing/meeting our dr as well as seeing baby foster!!!

A life changing experience

Peanut it perfect in every way possible!! My heart was overfilled with joy watching him/her on the screen.  And then to hear the heartbeat filled my eyes with tears of pure happiness!!!  I can not believe God has blessed us with this opportunity to be parents to this precious little gift.  She/He is my everything already and I cant not wait to show u the world baby, teach you, watch daddy interact with you, and guide you through Gods world :)

The little peanut was moving all over the screen

It was so incredible bouncing everywhere --curling up, stretching out, upside down, doing flips INCREDIBLE

I think maybe she is a little lady :) crossing her legs already 

But the hubs is going with what the Dr Lutter said : BOY based solely on the fact that I have been having dreams of boys and she says it always seems the most active ones seem to be boys.

We will find out the truth in a few weeks ---MAY 15th!!

Rocky went into surgery this morning and everything went good. It took two hours which was a lot longer then I anticipated and I was very relieved when he was out of surgery.  I filled the time with pacing, lots of bathroom breaks, writing in my journal, and watching the news that was on tv.  

              

Luckily the family second flight was delayed (or else I would not have been there when rocky got out of and into the recovery room) 

As soon as he got upstairs to his second recovery room, I headed to the airport to pick up my loves!!! 

This was their first time flying and they did GREAT (this picture was taking when they where leaving Des Moines at 6am in the morning so excuse their cute little pj's I didnt pick them up in this)

I had on a hoody to hide my little bump I had started to rock and they didnt notice at all. 

Brought them all back to our place just in time for Rocky to tell me that they where ready to release him.  So I headed right back to the hospital first to the pharmacy to get his drugs (lots of them at that) and then to pick him up.  

     

As soon as we got back to our house I was dying to spill the beans --and the hubby was coherent which was the one thing that I wanted to make sure of, He was doing so much better then I expected.

So he video with my phone while I spilled the news 

We where talking about making something to eat as an early dinner since after the long day of travels the boys prolly would have to call it an early night.  So I was whispering in their ears different things we could eat and then they would ask grandma, mom, and trey if they wanted that particular food.  Tucker was a little giggle monster during it all which made it even better!!!

"do you want spagetti?"

"do you want garlic bread?" 

"do you want mushrooms?" 

Then I said "Tell grandma aunt lu lu has a baby in her tummy"

he looks at me "what"

I then repeat

and he says "why" 

and I repeat it again and he says "no" 

then I say "yes do it" 

so then he walks over to grandma (my mom) and tells her "umm lu lu has a baby in her tummy" 

my moms response "she does? You do?"  "oh my gosh your telling us like this" "bailey did you hear that" "tell mommy" 

(bailey my sister was a little out of it and tired from the trip haahha and oblivious to what was happening)

We then sent my dad the picture message and he called "I bet that was hard to keep"

And we skyped Trevor and before he could even get on the screen tucker was telling him about the baby in lu lu's belly --he then continued with telling him there was two babys, one girl, and one boy. OH LORDY 

and he wasnt the only one talking this twin talk!!! 

Mom was astonished when I showed her my belly and how much I was showing already.

We got a text from Willie (rocks dad ) saying "I have examined the picture more and I definetly think that lindsey is either farther along or having twins" 

and when we first told his Mom and Nana they responded with what will you do if you are having more then one???!!!!

We find out Friday!!!

11 weeks 6 days along 

We do not go to the Dr until Friday the 23rd so we where not going to tell family until after that HOWEVER my mom, sister, littlest brother, and 2 nephews all get here tomorrow and there is NO WAY I can be around my mom and sister and not say anything OR them know!!!

So tonight we called rockys dad, mom, step dad, nana, and brother through skype all seperate and while skyping (and video-ing our skype) we sent them a picture message of the picture above.  I loved this because we got to see all their reactions even though we where not there in Iowa!!! 

They where all shocked and happy! 

Dad "GET OUT--Lindsey show me your belly"

Mom "aaahhh what is this?? hahaha"

Levi "yelling yelling and yelling some more"

Nana --5 min after the conversation had begun "so you mean this is for real"

I was baking monster cookies and banana bread 

and got so distracted that I burnt the banana bread to a crisp!!!! oops

Telling Rocky's family made me even more anxious to tell my family

Rocky has surgery tomorrow and the family arrives too!!!

1st Trimester Symptoms

We FINALLY are through the first trimester

Overall the first trimester was really good ---I had the normal symptoms but didn't have any morning sickness at all! BLESSED I know --some girls on the sights I had been on where begging to be sick just so they could feel pregnant NOT ME I hate puking and thank God that I didn't have to go through that everyday like some mommies to be get the joys of going through.
First Trimester Symptoms:
I was completely exhausted all the time, dizzy/light headed, sore HUGE boobies (the hubby didnt mind this part), minor stomach cramps, bloated, and TONS of food aversions with no appetite really.
Only thing I craved was Panda Express YUMMY fried rice was so good and I would be completely okay if this craving continues through the whole pregnancy as it tastes delicious more then normal :)
I did get sick ONE TIME and that was due to a food aversion
 I blame my husband hahah not really but it was sorta kinda really his fault
I woke up and laid in bed for awhile and then decided it was time for breakfast --I asked the hubby what he wanted and he said a breakfast burrito
SO I went down stairs and started to cook--The second I opened the bacon I was like UH GAG ME so I was definitely NOT going to have bacon on my burrito but I was still going to be nice and cook it for his.  I had the eggs and bacon both going and kept having to walk away from the stove as often as I could because the smell was so horrific I was actually start to get light headed and nauseous.  Finally I was starting to black out I turned the burners off and barely made it to the couch--was there for two seconds and was then in the bathroom yacking :( BLAH  (see it was sorta kinda really HIS fault ha ha )
This was thankfully the only time I had to go through this
There was a few other blacking out moments HOWEVER it didn't end with puking

We are past MOST of these symptoms and overall I have no complaints about this pregnancy and this little peanut growing big and strong inside of me.  I know that God is protecting us both and helping us through this blessed time one day at a time and I'm trying to not forget everyday how amazing this feeling and privilege is that God is letting woman experience. Letting me experience motherhood!!!

NOW WE GET TO SHARE THE NEWS......

BABY NEWS

So I had to stop blogging because I only had BABY -yes I said BABY-- on my mind and I was already getting to close to spilling the beans to this blogging world out there!!! :) and I just didn't know if that was a great idea ---I do not think I know anyone (as of now) that follow my blog HOWEVER you just never know what creepers one might have out there hahah
anyways back to the TOPIC---
WE ARE HAVING A BABY yes its true
God has blessed us with the biggest blessing and gift we could ever be given
I would be lying to say it feels pretty unreal still

To start from the beginning ......
We where home on leave for 26 days (over the holidays)
Towards the end of being in Iowa I started to not feel good but I just thought it was a cold, So I started in on the good drugs for cold and sinus.
On our way back down to good ol El Paso Texas we started to talk about how we are going to change our eating habits, live a healthier lifestyles, AS WELL as jump start it with a a cleanse
However I was just having a feeling (considering while reading about the cleanse we where going to start it said WARNING DO NOT PARTICIPATE IF PREGNANT
So I told Rocky that we needed to be responsible and get a test just in case before we started the cleanse
We where not going to start the cleanse until that following Monday
January 22,2012
So we had got all of the to start our cleanse and then it was Sunday night  (my period wasn't suppose to start until that following wed so that was not part of the concern it was just this feeling I had) So I said "babe we really need to go get a test before we start tomorrow" his response "well grab your shoes lets go get one quick"  (I had been looking up fun ways to spill the news to Daddy those couple days before hahah SNEAKY)
On our way to get the test hubby turns to me and says "don't build up a reaction in your head of how I will react to the news if we are pregnant! because I don't know how I will respond but I don't want you to take it like I am not excited or anything like that because I will be happy and excited I just don't know for sure how my initial reaction is going to actually be"
I couldn't help but laugh in my head at how prepared he was making himself
(maybe we both had a hunch it was real)
So when we get home he says "go pee on that damn stick"
hahahah
So I head upstairs
I pee on the stick (for those of you who do not know 2 stripes your prego 1 stripe you are not)
Well.... 1 stripe shows up .... and I cant help but feel a bit disappointed I was just for sure that I was pregnant
you always hear "I just had that mother intuition" well I THOUGHT I had that but I guess I was wrong
I wash my hands and continue to watch the stick and THEN -----
THE SECOND LINE SHOWS UP
WHAT I KNEW IT AAAAHHHHH stomach drops, kinda start to shake, disbelief fills my head, my heart is over joyed and I am just in utter shock ---I knew it I knew it I knew it
But for those of you have not taken a test before the second line is actually quite a ways away from the first line making it very tricky!! It fooled me that is for sure
NOW ITS TIME TO TELL DADDY
come downstairs WELL?????
"I couldn't even pee"
Then he looks over at me :)

SURPRISE

"HI DADDY" 

3weeks 5 days 

We couldn't tell anyone we where expecting until we where through the first trimester (the hubs didn't really realize that's how it would work and that we had to stay quite for 9 more weeks THIS WAS GOING TO BE HARD!) 

We have made it past the the 9 weeks wait and the BIG NEWS has spread :)

Updates Feb-March 2012

I DID IT AGAIN IT HAS BEEN A MONTH SINCE I HAVE BLOGGED ....I GET ON EVERYDAY AND READ THOUGH HAHAHHAH OOPSIES

UPDATE .........

1. My girlfriend Ellie came to visit (she was on spring break) us and it was some MUCH MUCH MUCH needed girl time.  We had such a good time not really doing much of anything; as we are both joke and trying to save for bigger things hahaha, however, that did not stop us from doing a little shopping.  It was so nice to just go to the mall with someone who wanted to be there just as much as you do.  The hubs does NOT like to shop to say the least and to be honest shopping with your mom, sister, girlfriends is just way more worthwhile; getting their opinions and thoughts on different things.  What do boys know? honestly?  We ended up with matching dresses (in different colors) and I am excited to wear it tonight for date night

2. The hubs elbow has EXPLODED no lie when I say that :( YUCKY
He has been struggling with it for um lets see foreverrrrrrr..... lots of xrays, lots of medicines (anti inflammatory pills, antibiotics, etc etc etc), MRI, drs different drs more drs and then finally to ortho!! We finally got the go ahead that we would be doing surgery WHEN the explosion occurred ... it like "popped" open and lots of ooze and other cruds have came out of "the boob" of an elbow he has going on.  He has gone in everyday since it "popped" and they have squeezed it! and re wrapped it! "The boob" looks a lot lot better. He was in a lot of pain and finally got some good drugs! and is doing a ton better ... they are still going to go ahead and do surgery March 20th (4 days away) and scrape away the bursides (sp), any other infection in there, and hopefully get the little mass of rock/bone/ who knows what the hell it is out of there and FIX all the issues making him all better! The accident first occurred in September 2009 :(

3. Speaking of March 20th ---ANOTHER big event will be happening!
I'm so excited and it honestly feels like I am getting a Christmas in March! :)
My Mom, Bailey, Trey, Tucker, and McCoy are AAAAALLLLL flying it for a few days for a visit.
They are all on spring break.....
My sister is a teacher, my brother is in 6th grade, and my mom does daycare for all teachers (which lets be honest is like the perfect route to go ---one day when I am running my own daycare I hope to be so lucky 1. they are all picked up at a decent time 2. I get to have all the same days off as my kids would 3. Summers off and spending time with just my kids getting to go and do stuff and I could prolly go on even more with the pros's :)
and Little Mr. Tucker and Mr. McCoy --yes I am prolly most excited to see them, cuddle them, love on them, see how much they have grown and changed as well as watch how much they have learned.  Yes i just left them all mid January but it is AMAZING how much little ones change and how fast!!!!

It is going to be a little bit stressful taking care of my hubby while he recovers, entertaining the family, as well as relaxing and enjoying every moment I get with them (being the next time I will get to see them is June and that is WAY to far away)
But this is going to be a huge huge huge visit and life changing for everyone --I just know it!!! We are all going to have a blast and remember it forever. 
I only wish that my other brother Trevor (who's spring break didn't match up; he was home all last week from William Penn university) and my Dad (who couldn't take anytime off from work) could have made it too!!!

4. Lots of crappy stuff has been going on at Rocky's work and that has made being his wife not fun at times however its part of the job description I suppose I can handle it hahah I just really hope it gets better soon because it is morally not right or fair to say the least to him or any of his other fellow soldiers.  People need to step up and play their roles!!! Hate when people think they can get away with doing stuff, or take situations to an extreme because things in their own personal lives are not going well.  I am doing a lot of praying!!!!

5.  Another big prayer going out to this AMAZING couple that I babysit for, they got an amazing offer on there house literally before they had even put it up for sale.  They couldn't pass it up but they have not found a new house to move too.  Everyone they have considered so far has fallen through one reason or another--she is stressed to the max to say the least with one of her little ones 1st birthdays around the corner, a wedding they have to travel by plane too, moving and doing final stuff to there house, AND find a place to make there new home.  I can not even imagine and my heart def goes out to her. 

6. My girlfriend started to Blog and is dying to read mine --surprisingly enough only ONE person I actually know in real life knows about my blog ...is that weird?? anyone else out there not tell people about there blogs?? my own husband doesn't even know what the name of my blog is ;he knows I have a blog and that's about the extent of it ----anyways I told her in a few weeks I would tell her my blog name so she could start to follow me ... maybe I will get brave enough and tell EVERYONE about it ??? oh how that will take some guts .... but it would be nice to keep everyone "updated" :)

7.  ONE MORE WEEK!!!!! beep beep beep beep beep beep (not the exact sound but not quite sure how to type out that noise) 

8. Happy St Pattys Day Everyone Have A Green Beer Or A Green Drink Or Hell Just Add Food Coloring !!! hahahahha
